We are organizing the Musique en famille (Music in the Family) Festival in collaboration with the "Washington Youth Chamber Orchestra" from the USA, and the Theatre de l'Arc-en-ciel from the Chateau de Machy. These two weeks are an exceptional opportunity for students to develop artistically and musically; to work with professional musicians of the highest level, and to meet other young people from diverse cultures in the magical environment of the castle. The faculty are all descendents of the Russian school, and have an enormous amount of experience in the field of solo and chamber music, orchestral playing, and most of all, pedagogy. The program will take place on the property of the Theatre de l'Arc-en-ciel, which will provide an opportunity for students to approach dramatic arts and participate as musicians in plays, organized for this occasion. WHERE AND WHEN
The students will arrive on June 30. 2007. Please, notify us about your travel arrangements so that a festival representative could meet you at the Airport. The last concert will take place in the evening of July 12. 2007. Their will be a shuttle from The Chateau de Machy on July 13 to St. Exupery Airport. For information concerning shuttles to and from St. Exupery Airport or the Lyon Part Dieu station, visit our website. The Chateau de Machy is located in Chasselay, 10 miles north of Lyon. Directions by car: From the center of Lyon, head in the direction of Limonest, follow to Chasselay all the way to Chateau de Machy. By Bus: Take Bus #21 from the Gare de Vaise to Chasselay

TUITION - €500 ($650)
This includes individual lessons (with the exception of wind instruments), chamber music lessons, orchestral coachings and concerts. Additional chamber music lessons will be offered to wind players.

PRICE OF ACCOMODATION -- €480 ($625)
Accommodation covers housing and meals (full board). Housing at the Chateau de Machy is limited. We kindly ask you to please specify whether you need accommodation. The Chateau has studios for four people, single rooms for three people, and for two people. Excursions and tours will be offered two times: to Lyon and to the medieval town Perouge, located 40 miles from Lyon. The participation is voluntary, the price (not included in the tuition/board fee) per person is €15 ($20). Other rules and requirements: The festival is not responsible for individual medical coverage or for the supervision of students. Students must submit proof of health insurance. A parent or a guardian may wish to accompany students under 18 years of age. Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Not all students will be assigned to the orchestra. The festival will be making the assignement decisions.

REGISTRATION
Please mail us a completed registration form along with a non-refundable fee of €50 ($65). The application will not be processed without the application fee. The Deadline for submitting your application is June 1, 2007. Late application fee is €60 ($78). Please note: we only accept payment in € or by major credit card.
